Road Car's 10 Worst Cars from 2009

A lot of great cars are made each year, but there are always duds. Here's Road Car's pick of the worst cars made from 2009:

Jeep Compass

Whoever came up with the idea for this car seriously needs to be fired. I mean, who ever heard of a compact, fuel efficient Jeep? Even so, this car is a crappy version of that anyways.

Chrysler Sebring

“The all new luxury Sebring, from your luxury brand Chrysler.” If only the Sebring COULD be called that, but it can’t. Case closed.

Hur-ah!

Chrysler PT Cruiser

The second generation looks so much better…oh wait…there hasn’t been a second generation. The PT Cruiser is like a lemon. Chrysler just squeezed that lemon until there was no juice left in it. Now they have to just throw it away.

Ford Focus

Do not focus any of your cameras on the Ford Focus. If you do, pray it’s not the coupe, or else you may be done for.

Honda Element

Yeah, I think I found my Element. It has obnoxious second row doors, zero interior space, and looks like it hit a few too many branches when it fell down the ugly tree.

Lincoln MKT

We know this car may be very intelligent and futuristic, but that’s just no excuse for the design of it. The whole front is just…hideous…. And the grille is way too large. Eagle?

Dodge Nitro

The brother of the Liberty, which should also be on this list, but we figure the Nitro’s worse. Big boxy shape, not a lot of room, bag gas mileage. Meet the New New New New New Chrysler. Yes, I meant to put all those News in there.

Toyota Yaris

Oh my gosh, it has standard A/C. The only kind of good thing about this car is it’s price. But the Ford Fiesta will kick this thing where it should next year. See ya Yaris!

Chrysler Town and Country

don’t know about you, but when I see this car I think “luxury minivan”. Not that it’s any better than the Grand Caravan, it’s just re-badged into a worse brand. You don’t see the new CTS Minivan do you?

Mercury Mountaineer

It has the same engine as the Ford Explorer, but it’s uglier and costs a thousand bucks more. So um, what is good about the mountaineer?
